COLLABORATIONS AND PARTNERS

THE ONES WE CONSIDER FAMILY

As the outcome of the project is to empower participants to connect with a broad and diverse range of individuals and organizations, our programs itself follow the same model. Government agencies, businesses, and nonprofits should all find value in cross-sector collaboration along with the sharing of resources and knowledge. These projects help several Washington, D.C. government agencies identify and deliver direct services to individual community members and neighborhoods. Employers provide participants with six months of On The Job Training (OJT). This trains and empowers “disconnected” Washington, D.C. residents and actively helps our participants earn an income while in our training programs. In doing so, employers and organizations within our city are better connected and positioned to work together to collectively solve community problems. Business partners on this project will be encouraged and supported in offering employment and apprenticeships to program participants.
